Research Tutor

Dr. Dejan Aždajić joined the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies as a Research Tutor in September 2025, bringing rich scholarly expertise and extensive teaching experience to strengthen the academic community and advance the mission of OCMS. His work reflects a deep commitment to forming reflective and engaged Christian leaders.

Dr. Aždajić is a scholar of Islamic studies and practical theology, specializing in lived religion, Sufism, and interreligious engagement. His interdisciplinary research integrates ethnography, missiology, and the anthropology of religion, with a focus on charismatic leadership and contextual theology in Southeast Europe.

Dr. Aždajić  is also is a lecturer at the Free Theological University in Giessen (FTH), where he teaches courses on church planting, homiletics, Islam, and spiritual formation, combining academic rigor with a passion for mentoring and transformative ministry. Dr. Aždajić has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributes to interfaith dialogue, and engages diverse audiences through public lectures. Fluent in multiple languages, he fosters meaningful cross-cultural and theological reflection, equipping students and communities for impactful scholarship and practice.
