We welcome members of Oxford University and anyone who would like to use our books for research to come and use our reference library.
The OCMS library holds over 18,000 books, plus journals and grey materials, including pamphlets, reports, ephemera and archives. In addition, we also hold theses from past scholars and our own publications.
Our library collections focus on the Two-Thirds World (Africa, Asia, Oceania, Latin America) and cover both the Humanities (Theology, Biblical Studies, Religious Studies) and the Social Sciences (Anthropology, International Development, Diaspora/Refugee Studies, Research Methods). The range of subjects includes holistic mission, translation and contextualisation, globalisation, poverty, conflict resolution, HIV/AIDS, and development projects.
The OCMS library catalogue is on SOLO (the search and discovery tool for the major collections of Oxford University’s libraries). You can find it here. Just select Oxford Centre for Mission Studies in ‘search scope’ to find our collections.
Opening times: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
