Maria Waldinger is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the ifo Institute for Economic Research in Munich. She completed her PhD in the Department of International Development at the London School of Economics in 2014. She mainly works on topics in economic history and climate economics. She has also applied econometric methods to large-scale datasets to investigate the long-term impacts of missionary orders in Mexico.
