Tim Wambunya is an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Oxford and incumbent at St Paul’s Slough. Before that, he was a Crosslinks mission partner in Kenya, where he served as Diocesan Bishop of Butere in Western Kenya and previously Principal of the Church Army Africa, Carlile College for Business and Theology in Nairobi. He also served as the Regional Director for East Africa in Bible League International. He was visiting lecturer on the DMin/PhD course at Uganda Christian University, where he specialised in congregational development. 

He has recently returned to the UK after 12 years as a mission partner.

Tim is an alumnus of OCMS. He completed his PhD studies in Paremiology in 2013. He had previously undertaken his ordination studies at Oak Hill College, London. He was ordained in St Paul’s Cathedral in London and served his curacy in Southall,  Ealing Deanery and incumbency in Islington, North London.

He is married to Gertrude, and together they have three sons.
