Reverend Calum Samuelson is an ordained minister in the Free Methodist Church and for the past two years has lived in Kenya with his wife and son, where he has taught Theology to hundreds of students at Africa Nazarene University and worked closely with numerous local churches and pastors. He holds an MPhil in Medieval History from the University of Cambridge and is currently a PhD candidate at the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies. He has published and presented his work in over a dozen countries and played a small part in securing better rights for gig workers in the UK during his time as a researcher for the Jubilee Centre (Cambridge). His current area of focus is Ethiopian monasticism, and he is involved in several international projects that aim to preserve, catalogue, transcribe, and translate Medieval Ethiopic manuscripts. He has lived in seven countries and travelled extensively in over 65 countries for ministry, business, and leisure.
