Andrew Paxman is a professor of history and journalism at the Centre for Research & Teaching in Economics in Mexico. He is co-author of El Tigre, the biography of a Mexican media mogul and author of the biography Jenkins of Mexico: How a Southern Farm Boy Became a Mexican Magnate. He spent a sabbatical year at Oxford University’s Latin American Centre in 2020-21. His next book will be a recent history of the Mexican press.
