OCMS alumnus, Dr Akintayo Sunday Olayinka, was awarded the status of Fellow (FHEA) in recognition of his attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.
Higher Education Academy (HEA) is a professional body recognised by many UK universities to provide validation for lecturers at various levels in their career journey. The body has Associate Fellowship, Fellow (FHEA), Senior Fellow (SFHEA) and Principal Fellow (PFHEA) depending on the role the candidate plays in teaching and learning in the candidate’s institution. Dr Olayinka teaches courses in Islamic Studies at postgraduate level in the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, through Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and visits the institution whenever required.
