Application Guidelines

Applications are considered by the OCMS Admissions Committee using evidence of appropriate qualifications, commitment to and work in Christian mission, satisfactory references, secure funding, and a well-thought research topic that relates to the broad definition of Mission Studies.

Referees will be contacted and all documents required must be submitted before your application is presented to the Admissions Committee.

 
• A non-refundable application processing fee of £25 (UK Sterling twenty five pounds/ $60 US Dollars) must accompany your application. The fee can be waived for applicants with a degree from the Two-Thirds World.

Please include the following documents with the application form:

 
• Research Topic outline (2 pages) and Bibliography (4-5 pages), This needs careful thought and preparation as it will display your capacity and the suitability of your ideas for research, so you advised to follow these: Research Topic Guidelines 
• Copies of the certificates and transcripts of all academic degrees and professional qualifications. 
• A letter from your employer indicating their willingness to release you for study. 
• Literature or information relating to your current work. 
• Proof of linguistic proficiency. Applicants can make a sound case from previous education, where studies have been done for several years in the medium of English, that their English is adequate for researching and writing a UK thesis successfully. If this be not the case, then the applicant is asked to submit an an IELTS certificate or sit an IELTS test, making adequate preparation for it, in their country of residence, and to produce a certificate that s(he) has attained at least a 5.5 score overall with not less than 5.0 in any individual skill (TOEFL 530). This is the minimal entry requirement. 
• Two passport-sized photographs
