Why OCMS?

OCMS’ Research Degree Programme is set in the ethos of a Christian research centre that exists to serve, equip and empower the global Church and its future leadership. By studying in an environment that is culturally sensitive and globally informed, Christian leaders from around the world can engage in groundbreaking scholarship that helps them to understand the nature of the issues they face in their own contexts and ministry, and how better to deal with them.

RIS March 2009OCMS welcomes diversity, and recognises the contributions to the achievement of its educational purposes that can be made by individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Its programmes offer an attractive and affordable alternative for people from the non-western world, and its approach allows scholars to remain active in their ministries throughout their studies, ensuring that their research is culturally relevant and contextually informed with only minimal disruption to families and ministries.

The OCMS Research Degree Programme leads to the qualification of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil). This is a Middlesex University programme and qualification, jointly developed, delivered and assessed by Middlesex and OCMS, and quality assured by Middlesex University.
