Rev Canon Dr Mark Saw Maung Doe

Rev Canon Dr Mark Saw Maung Doe was born on June 30, 1960. He is number 7 out of 9 siblings.  He received a BA from Yangon University.  Then he received ordination training at Holy Cross Theological College.  Later on, he was awarded a BD degree from Myanmar Institute of Theology, MTS from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP, USA), and a PhD from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and University of Wales.  He is currently a professor at Holy Cross Theological College and an assistant priest at Holy Cross Church, Yangon Diocese.  He was elected as the 7th bishop of Hpan-an Diocese on the 2nd of September, 2017.  The consecration and enthronement ceremony will be held on the 8th of October, 2017 at St Peter’s Cathedral, Hpa-an.
