OCMS is a truly unique and special community that extends beyond the reaches of its beautiful building to every corner of the globe. Everybody who studies or serves at OCMS is a member here for life, and it is our hope that you will remain involved with the community long after your initial studies are over.
The OCMS Alumni and Community Association has three purposes:
- to support the community activities of the members and to encourage ongoing fellowship among the alumni
- to support the educational purposes of OCMS
- to aid OCMS in its financial growth and development
With this membership come certain opportunities, benefits and privileges. There is no membership fee, but it is our hope and our prayer that you will hold the ministry close to you in prayer and seek ways that you can bless the community both during your times in Oxford, and also in your home and ministry context.
To help you to remember your time here, a number of items are made available for members of the OCMS family. Some of these are free, and others need to be bought.
Visits to OCMS
As life-long members of OCMS, alumni are always welcome to come and visit. The library is available for use, and there are preferential arrangements if they wish to use the facilities that are on offer here, such as the meeting rooms and kitchens. OCMS also has a Research Associates Programme which is flexible and can be tailored to be structured around an individual’s requirements.
Alumni are very welcome to join us for weekly chapel on Wednesday mornings at 9.30am, and for the lectures on a Tuesday at 11am.
Alumni are welcome to join us for our community meals, and in particular the Wednesday community lunch, and pay only student rates. They are also welcome to bring guests with them, but need to pay the guest rate for these visitors. Please contact the office to book your meal by Tuesday lunchtime if you wish to join us.
Books and Journals
Regnum Books and Transformation, the peer reviewed journal, are available to alumni at a 40% discount.
Staying in Touch
Recognizing how important relationships are in building networks for ministry, OCMS holds the details of alumni and is happy to provide a ‘connections’ service for alumni to connect them to other members. To register with the OCMS Alumni and Community Association, please contact Blanche Marslin: email@example.com.
