Partners with OCMS


OCMS is grateful for all of our partners.  Individuals, churches, trusts and other organisations who have caught the vision for our work invest in us and our students.  To have their friendship and support is a privilege we seek to honour in what we do.

Fieldstead & Company  (California, USA)

Fieldstead & Company has supported the work of OCMS for many years. Fieldstead is a philanthropic organisation with a special interest in proliferating good ideas and authentic Christianity through its work. It has sponsored conferences and programs, as well as special projects and preparatory studies at the Centre. Currently, Fieldstead & Co. supports the on-going work of OCMS’ Staff and Maintenance. Evangelisches Missionswerk in Deutschland  (Hamburg, Germany)

Evangelisches Missionswerk in Deutschland (EMW) is a long-standing partner of OCMS, supporting the work of the Centre in the areas of Student Scholarships and Publishing. EMW’s partnership with OCMS is descriptive of its highly diverse investment portfolio; it is ecumenical, collaborative and a faithful friend to mission around the world. In particular, EMW currently supports the work of OCMS by sponsoring Women researching in the field of Mission Studies. ( www.emw-d.de )

 

Compassion UK  (Surrey, UK)

Compassion UK is a new friend to OCMS and its work.  Compassion is well known around the world for development and advocacy work with children in at-risk or underprivileged situations. Its commitment to improving the lives of children around the globe finds purchase in our work. For this reason, Compassion UK has joined with OCMS, leveraging our unique portfolio of academic and mission resources to grow specific men and women from their field projects as leaders in their communities and countries.  ( www.compassionuk.org )

 

 

Crowell Trust  (Chicago, USA)

Crowell Trust has been a consistent partner in theological education at OCMS. The organisation was started by Henry Parsons Crowell in 1927 and continues to invest in charities and causes which promote his values. Currently, Crowell Trust funds a two-year global Consultation pioneered by OCMS on Children’s Theology & Mission-thinking focussed on ministry to At-Risk Youth in diverse contexts. Steve Hong  (Korean-American Businessman)

Steve has worked with OCMS for more than six years. Through his generosity the General Student Scholarship fund is helping students from all over the world, doing varied, important researches impacting their communities with the tools they gain by studying with us.

 

‘Monty’ and Rosemary Barker  (British Emeritus Consultant Phyciatrist)

Dr. Montagu Barker and his wife Rosemary have been a part of OCMS from its humble beginnings as an idea birthed out of Lausanne ’74. Since then they have been integral supporters and sacrificial members of our community. Monty and Rosemary, through an endowment they set up at the Centre, sponsor the longest weekly academic lectureship in Oxford which is held on site at OCMS on Tuesdays.

 

Tan Sri Datò Sri Lee Oi Hian  (Malaysian Businessman)

Tan Sri Datò Sri Lee Oi Hian has been constant in his support of OCMS over the last several years. A prosperous business leader in his own country, he is a tremendous example of the commitment non-Western interests have in the success and further development of OCMS work and student ambassadors. Tan Sri Datò Sri Lee Oi Hian gives to the core expenses of the Centre; facility, staff and faculty costs are greatly reduced through his belief in what we do and investment in who we are.

 

Yoido Full Gospel Church  (Seoul, Korea)

Rev. Dr. Young-Hoon Lee, Senior Pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church, is a much thanked for friend of OCMS. He leads the largest church in the world started by Rev. Dr. Yonggi Cho in 1958. In recognition of his significant contribution to the Kingdom of God and global Christianity, Reverend Lee sponsors a faculty post at OCMS in Reverend Cho’s honour: the David Yonggi Cho Research Tutor in Global Christianity position is an unrivalled asset to OCMS’ suite of specialist faculty members. St. Aldates Church (Oxford, UK)

St. Aldates Church is an influential church, in Oxford and in the United Kingdom, and has been a stalwart supporter of OCMS for many years.  Through St. Aldates Rector, Rev. Charlie Cleverly, the church’s vision for impacting the nations of the world for Jesus Christ has widened and born much fruit. The church has supported OCMS through specific student scholarships, funding special projects at the Centre, and currently partner with OCMS to fund the general needs of our work and students.
