Aminta CoatesExperience and research interests: Aminta’s professional training has been in areas of social and public policy and social work, international health, research and international development issues. She has worked in Latin America for more than 16 years in aspects of social and public policy, preventative health, community development, gender issues, participatory methodologies, leadership management, formation and research. She has worked with local NGOs in Honduras, and international development agencies such as World Relief, Oxfam and Tearfund. Her interests include faith in development, Faith-Based Organisations, community health, women, children and youth issues, the use of participatory methodologies and research based on evidence.

Degrees: BA (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras), MA (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras), MA (Escuela Nacional de Sanidad y Consumo, Madrid, Spain), PhD (University of Reading, UK).
