Bernice Hardie Won Lambeth Award

Bernice Hardie is Co-Founder of Wave - which stands for “We're All Valued Equally” (wave-for-change.org.uk). Wave provides places that make it easy for people with and without learning disability to mix comfortably, socialise, worship and learn together.  In 2019, through the Guided Study Programme (GSP), Bernice carried out a rigorous research project evaluating the impact of Wave’s 10-year work in the local community.  The report from the research has formed the basis for Diocesan and Disability conferences, various seminars and published articles.

On June 30, Bernice and Celia Webster, co-founders of Wave, were honoured with the Langton Award for community service as part of Archbishop Justin Welby’s annual “Lambeth awards”.  Here are two press releases if you want to find out more:
