OCMS Positions Vacant

The Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (OCMS) is a unique mission research centre that equips the global church to participate in the realisation of God’s transforming mission through research and applied scholarship.

OCMS is seeking to recruit 2 Full-time members of staff to join their small team in the heart of Oxford in the beautiful St Philip & St James Church.


The Bursar will provide leadership, direction and oversight to all non-academic matters within the work of the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies.

The ideal candidate will possess strategic vision, excellent people skills, financial dexterity and an appreciation of the nature of an inclusive academic community, taking the lead on non-academic matters within the ministry of OCMS.

The Bursar’s responsibilities include the following areas Key Areas.

  • Spiritual and organisational leadership
  • Financial development and management
  • Personnel Management
  • Administrative oversight
  • Property
  • Legal and regulatory compliance


Administrative Assistant.

A confident, well organised, gracious and welcoming administrative

assistant is required to assist the Registrar in a wide range of

administrative responsibilities.         

The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative skills, a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and demands in a calm, persistent and efficient manner and displays empathy with people from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
